Bag-Making Fabric
We have had some bonded Poly/Nylon printed so you don't have to miss out on these fun fabrics we're seeing in the bag-making Facebook groups. Suitable for linings or exteriors, the photos don't do the prints justice.
It is sold by the 1/2 meter Approx145cm wide, so if you want 1 meter, select 2 (currently cut into meter lots, but I'm happy to cut to size if required). The 5cm square will give you an idea of the print size.
Choose either 'Firm' or 'Soft' and the pattern from the drop downs.
Firm: A 290gsm twill with a knit bonded to the back of it. It is quite rigid and firm. It wouldn’t need interfacing unless you wanted more structure. Perfect for backpacks, linings, etc.
Soft: A 193gsm fabric with a knit bonded to the back of it. It’s much softer to the touch and has a finer weave. It could be interfaced for a more structured look if required (I'm planning to order some to make a trench coat for myself) perfect for smaller bags, linings etc.
Use: We recommend when using any bonded or quilted fabric to use the correct needle size (smaller than vinyl or firmer fabrics) and decrease your tension as required. Can be iron from the back with a nylon heat setting.
