Hump Jumper by Kiwi Bagineers

Skipped stitches or short stitches over thick seams? The hump jumper is one of the greatest sewing hacks for bag making and all kinds of thick seams.

When your sewing machine has to climb a seam the foot tilts causing short or skipped stitches. This can ruin the look of your otherwise beautiful top stitching or even threaten the integrity of your work.

The hump jumper has a thick and a thin end and can be used with all domestic machines and will fit under the walking foot and zipper foot of many industrials.

How To Use

1. As your sewing machine foot gets close to the thick seam, lower your needle and lift the foot to slide the humpjumper in from behind, ensuring the needle fits in the centre gap. Let the foot drop so that it is resting on top of the hump jumper.

2. Sew forwards until you are over the seam.

3. For thicker seams, as your sewing reaches the front edge of the seam,  slide the hump jumper in from the front to help the foot step down.
