Pellon® SF101 Shape-Flex® is an all-purpose, woven, fusible interfacing on the lighter side of medium. 100% Cotton.
Note: This product is sold by 1/2 metre. So if you want 1-metre order 2 by quantity. Shape-Flex®is 20" approx. 50cm wide only.
A favourite among handmade bag crafters, it provides crisp support for bags, purses, totes, wallets, pockets and facings.
Shape-Flex® is intended for light to medium woven and knit fabrics, including oxford cloth, cotton drill, cotton duck, lighter weight canvas, quilting cotton etc.
It can also be used to stabilize knits and loosely woven fabrics that fray easily so that you can incorporate them into your bag-making project. The image below shows a bag made with a Pashmina shawl.
To pre-shrink, fill a sink with warm water. Place interfacing in water for about ten minutes. Do not put in the washer or dryer by itself or you may loosen the adhesive. Gently squeeze out excess water and allow it to dry.
